In 2000, after 5 years of development and testing by a team of computer programmers and Master Custom Clubmakers, Golf Perfect Software, LLC, introduced "The Golf Perfect Golf Clubmaking Software" to assist amateur and professional clubmakers in fitting themselves and their customers. It quickly became the world's #1 bestselling golf clubmaking / clubfitting / swingweight software.

     It was originally sold exclusively through the Golf Perfect Software www.golfperfect.com website. From 2002 - 2005, the software was also sold through the Golfsmith catalog and retail stores, by agreement with Tom Wishon, who then worked for Golfsmith.

     In 2006, Golf Perfect Software again became the exclusive distributor of the software. It was updated to include hybrid clubs and components, and is used worldwide by both professional clubmakers and by amateur golfers who are building their own custom golf clubs.
